Michael Strouch is an independent financial professional who becomes a true financial partner to his clients. Michael works with affluent individuals and families to help them find solutions to the complex financial issues involved in maintaining and transferring wealth. He believes in building relationships that are long-term and not transaction oriented. To facilitate that relationship building Michael emphasizes clear communication every step of the way.

Michael’s approach is team oriented and client centric. He feels that it is imperative that all your advisors are working together in concert to help you achieve your goals. Michael will coordinate and work with your existing legal and tax advisors to make sure that happens. He understands that in an increasingly complex financial world, clients need someone who is paying attention to all aspects of their financial life; this gives you the freedom to focus on the other important aspects of your life.

By providing holistic financial planning, Michael looks at a client’s total financial situation. Whether it is strategic planning for business owners to integrate their business and personal finances; or working with individuals and their families, he works closely with clients to assess their current finances, define future goals and develop a personal risk management strategy to help meet those goals. He makes sure that all the pieces of your financial life are working together to reach your objectives.

Michael brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his clients. He has a tenacious work ethic and believes that the best way for him to understand and serve his clients, is to devote himself to his own professional development. He believes you never stop learning and never stop growing. This started with the work-study education at Northeastern University, where Michael graduated in 1990 with a major in marketing and minor in writing. Following graduation, Michael traveled to Sydney Australia to play a season of division 1 Rugby Union with the Gordon Highlanders.  One year later Michael began his career in financial services, while attending law school at night. In 1995 he received his law degree from Quinnipiac College School of Law and was admitted to the Connecticut bar in 1996. In 2001 Michael became an Investment Advisor Representative. In 2005 Michael started the rigorous process of self study towards obtaining the Certified Financial Planner designation, one of the industry’s most respected certifications. In 2009 Michael achieved his goal, and now proudly calls himself a CFP®.

Michael lives with his wife, Laurie and their three children, Zachary, Jacob and Rebecca in Weston, Connecticut.  He is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association and the Financial Planning Association. In addition to his passions for yoga, golf and gardening, he is very involved in his children’s lives, which keeps him active when he is not working with clients.
